« Book Review - Work Like You're Showing Off! by Joe Calloway | Main| Had the chance to give my "Web 2.0 & Social Media" presentation today to a smaller audience... »

A tough act to follow...

Category Humor
So I was asked by the Strategic Communications department of the company I work for to give a presentation at their two day retreat.  The subject is "social media", as in blogs, wikis, etc.  No problem, as I can talk about that stuff for hours...

I get the schedule today, and what do I find?

That I'm scheduled right after the talk by our CEO...

No pressure...  no pressure at all...

Comments

Gravatar Image1 - Actually, the CEO is a pretty dynamic individual. I'm sure the listeners won't be bored.

Gravatar Image2 - Puh-leeze. You know that stuff as well as Bruce knows OpenNTF. You will be a nice change from the CEO. Just remember, Lincoln gave his 2 minute "Gettysburg Address" right after Edward Everett's 2 hour oration. Not to diminish Everett's speaking skills, who's speech is better remembered?

Gravatar Image3 - @Duffbert,

Woo hoo! You will rock as usual.

Gravatar Image4 - I'm sure you'll do awesome. After the CEO bores everyone to tears with company stats and money figures, you can get everyone listening and enjoying with your fun style and expertise. Piece of cake!
