From InteropTips: Microsoft Transporter Suite For Lotus Domino Release - On Valentine's Day !

Today we release the Microsoft Transporter Suite 2007 for Lotus Domino.  It is publically available for download at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/interopmigration/collaboration/default.mspx.  Customers, Partners and consultants can download the released product immediately and begin using these tools to transition from Domino to the Microsoft 2007 collaboration platform.

"begin using these tools to transition from Domino to the Microsoft 2007 collaboration platform"

Sorta screws up Gary's message of peaceful coexistence...  :)

Gravatar Image1 - That's bad enough as you expect it out of MS. But this announcement is really annoying to me:

http://www.proposion.com/portalmigrator

"Proposion Portal Migrator provides "Point and click" Lotus Notes to Sharepoint migration. This simple but powerful tool makes it easy for technical or non-technical users to transfer content by selecting data from a Lotus Notes or Domino database, defining any desired data mapping rules and writing the data to a SharePoint List. "

I don't know what bugs me more, the fact that they don't bother to mention that migrating data is not the same as migrating the application, or that the proposion website is run on a Domino server.

Gravatar Image2 - I understand your frustration... Getting data is no big deal, but what do you do with it once you have it? And Proposion has definitely staked a claim in the conversion/coexistence space coming from the perspective of an IBM Lotus business partner...
