Duffbert's Random Musings

1 - It's both time and cost. Time was never a question, as they don't have a problem with the training aspect. It was more the cost once the speaking portion didn't pan out. Turns out there's still dollars in the IBM training package they have, and that's why it's doable (well, that and a whole lot of prayer... :) ).

The nice thing about getting this covered (other than just the joy of going back to Lotusphere again) is that I'll be able to participate in the Irish User Group meeting again this year. I couldn't afford to do them both, and if I were going to pay for one or the other, I felt that Lotusphere was probably more professionally valuable to me. Of course, Ireland was its own special event...

2 - Did they approve the time or the $$ or both?
If it's the $$ then this is me being jealous...and pouting...and having to spend my own hard-earned bucks to get there again cuz I'm contract and not staff.
O.k. it was a short-lived pout, but it just had to happen. Thanks for leting me indulge the moment.
It's completely worth it to me to spend the money or I wouldn't be doing it.
But isn't it always better if someone else is buying?

4 - I was going to be there one way or the other, Devin. I had already registered and had everything set up. It was a matter of who was going to pay for it... me or work. :)

5 - XLNT! It was not a definite for me either -- but approval came through and registration was done just before the early-bird discount expired. Looking forward to seeing you all. From the list of sessions, and what we already know of Hannover, this looks to be a GREAT 'sphere!

6 - WOOT! It wouldn't be the same without you. I'm so glad you're going to be there.
