My nine year old is starting a new school today, and I keep telling myself this. My fifteen year old is taking AP US History even though he "doesn't like history", and I keep telling myself this. My daughter is starting hew second year of college and never came home this summer except for a brief visit or two, and I keep telling myself this.

Wouldn't you think I'd get better at convincing myself soon?
