IBM Backs Firefox In-house

Category IBM/Lotus

From ZDNet: IBM Backs Firefox In-house

Other than the obvious fact that this is a big win for Firefox usage, this should also bode well for having better Firefox compatibility on IBM/Lotus products. Since IBM is known for having internal staff use the latest and greatest releases of their own software, problems with compatibility should surface pretty quickly.

Cool!

Gravatar Image1 - I think this is a definate step forward for Firefox and Opensource browsers in general. We need a big corporate presence to start reducing the number of "IE Only" web pages, even if they aren't publicaly available. Once big corporations start to make a dent in IE's market share they (Microsoft IE) may be more willing to be a standards compliant browser.

Keith
