In defense of our Lotusphere session rankings...

Category Lotusphere 2005

Ed recently posted the top 20 Lotusphere sessions for content and speakers, and Joe Litton and I came in tied for second in content and tied for third for speakers.   Heady stuff for a couple of short runts like us...

When I was harassing a friend over the fact I ranked higher than he did, he insisted I bought the vote by having a Flashdance moment as well as giving away three cases of Java books donated by O'Reilly.

And your point is?

:-)

Gravatar Image1 - Well, you rating may not have been #1, but I bet your Google rank was higher.

Gravatar Image2 - Well your session certainly "stuck" with me. I still have flashbacks about it at random times...

- Julian

Gravatar Image3 - The only thing that kept you from a higher score on my eval was not giving away books to all in attendance, or more specifically...me!

Actually, as a "non-developer," I really enjoyed, and even understood, your session.

Gravatar Image4 - So... handing out free stuff helps get people to enjoy talks more... Good advice. My next speaking gig is Father's Day... so I've order 200 books to give out.

Thanks for the tip!

Gravatar Image5 - LOL... Thanks, Ted.

When you shop Amazon, start your shopping experience here.

When you do that, all your purchases during that session earn me an affiliate commission via the Amazon Affiliate program. You don't have to buy the book I linked you to (although I wouldn't complain!). Simply use that as your starting point.

Thanks!
