Don't you love going to the doctor, paying your co-pay, only to be told...

Category Everything Else

... Yup, you're sick!  Everyone here has it, it's viral in nature, antibiotics won't help, blah, blah, blah...

I did get a prescription for some industrial-strength cough medicine that I can take that should help me sleep some.

My sincerest apologies to everyone I coughed around last week...

I'm in the midst of getting sick with some kind of coughing thing right now. If it blossoms into a full cold, I think I'll call it the "ToeRoom" cold, for "Tom and Joe's Room". You guys were living in a petri dish for a week.

Hope you feel better soon.

is a Chinatown near the place you live? If yes, head there and look for a Chinese Physican/Pharmacy. You will get a herbal drink that will taste like the water in the bathtub of a dead cat but will fix u within 3 days.
Works for me!

Gravatar Image3 - Tom, Take Stephen's advice! Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is incredible. I held off going to the acupuncturist until today ...mainly because I just couldn't drag myself out of bed. But he gave me a nice long acupuncture treatment, then did some 'cupping' on several spots on my back (I'll have to see if Shirley can take a picture of my back tomorrow so I can post it for you) ...and then he gave me some Chinese herbs. I have had wonderful results from Chinese medicine over the years, for everything from pulled or TORN muscles, to colds, to just a monthly tune-up treatment (I typically go once a month for a treatment). If you can somehow get past the needle phobia, I know you'd be amazed by the results. But at least pop down to Chinatown and check out the remedy to which Stephen refers.

Gravatar Image4 - You know, Stephan... I'm thinking the coughing sounds like a reasonable alternative.
