Gravatar Image1 - I worked on those back a few years ago. It wasn't a bad machine at all, actually in its day. It was very comperable to a PS/2 Model (70 or 80?) if I recall, and priced competitively with that name brand system.

Now the Tandy 1000RL -- that was a machine!

Gravatar Image2 - Boy, we sound like a couple of old codgers...

Gravatar Image3 - My first computer, bought in late '89 or early '90, was an 80 mb, 8mb ram 386. When I described it to people, the usual comment was something like, "Whoa, you'll never need ANYTHING else."
Hah!

Gravatar Image4 - Pah! The first job I had was the hardware engineer for a small computer company. First computer with its lid off - an Octopus CPM machine. Then a Comart CPM computer network.

And then an IBM PC. In for a 5mb hard drive upgrade.

Yup.

Old codgers.

Gravatar Image5 - Kinda makes you wonder what we're going to think in 15 years' time when we look back at adverts for today's machines...
