You're not in Kansas anymore, Toto...

OK...  so we're all trying to nap in this hotel room.  It's a little chilly, so I turn up the room thermostat to high and the fan to medium.  It gets colder.  Why?  Because cold air is blasting into the room.

A housekeeping supervisor comes up and says he'll check with a janitor.  Excellent service, as he's back with an answer in about five minutes.

The rooms don't have heat.  Just air conditioning.  He'll bring us some extra blankets, though...

I suppose rooms in Alaska don't have air conditioning, just heat and fans.

Gravatar Image2 - Tom:
As an apparently avid reader, how many books are you taking with you on this trip? Got a separate suitcase for them all? LOL!

Enjoy yourself and the family on your vacation.

Gravatar Image3 - You know what I am going to say Tom, where is that eBook that I use. Who carries books anymore ?

Gravatar Image4 - temperature control is a common hotel room problem. I really don't understand it, since, after all, the purpose is to provide an environment comfortable enough for sleeping. I will probably rant on this at some point. Sorry it was your experience.

Gravatar Image5 - Gregg... I'm tempted to claim the 5th on this one.

I packed six paperbacks, with the expectation I'd probably read three of them (yeah, sure, right...) The problem is that I got a package of books from Prentice Hall right before I left.

Somehow three of those made their way into my bag, too.

And they all fit in the bag that I used for my laptop/iPaq/cell phone/chargers/wireless card/cat 5 cable/ etc...
